Why cross-disciplinary engineering matters
Most of the hardest problems in technology today don't live neatly inside a single discipline. A wearable health device needs software that's fast and reliable, hardware that's efficient and durable, and — increasingly — biotech expertise to make sense of the data it collects. Companies that only specialize in one of these areas end up stitching together partners, and something always gets lost in translation.
